The story begins with Miyazawa Yukino, a high school student who appears to have everything: looks, intelligence, a flawless personality and popularity. However, that's only her appearance--in reality she schemes and puts on this act for the public in order to gain the adoration of others. All would have been well with this plan, had she not met Arima Soujiro--her equal in looks and status, but in her eyes a dangerous rival for her supremacy in high school. Yet there is more to Arima that meets the eye, as he has plans of being something other than her rival, and his and her story makes up the fascinating series that is Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, by Tsuda Masami.
