When I was little, I mocked my sisters for many things. For being smelly, for being lazy, for being big fat meanies, and various other things. Today, they still hold many of these characteristics. But that's not the point.
One of the things I never understood was how they could possibly sleep so much. After all, for 4th grade and 5th grade I woke up at 5:30 a.m. bright and early every morning, watched cartoons, ate a leisurely breakfast, then headed to my elementary school to tutor younger kids in reading.
Now I enjoy sleeping. Because I can never get enough of it. I had a world history exam, a chemistry quiz, a book report interview, and heaven knows what other junk to do today. I did finish the website on my grandmother, which I put up on tripod (which took FOREVER because the stupid thing won't let you upload directories, and made me put up each and every file INDIVIDUALLLLLLY and if I find out that it does have that option blood will be SHED, LIKE, A LOT). It looks okay, I suppose :P I won't put the hyperlink up though because I think it's kinda ugly.
I usually link to .css files, but I was too lazy to look up how it looked, so I found the stylesheet code on someone's site... thank you, Lorik, although I doubt you knew I was leeching your code :P
B on the Hill is tomorrow... I'll explain what that is after I'm done with it. ^.^
Just requested some anime from my sister.. it really isn't that much, but I requested all of Akazukin ChaCha, and that's about 15 CD's by itself, so she'll end up having to bring a spindle, oops. ^.^; Yumi, I hope you and Kyomi like it... tell Heza she sucks. On that note, Jessica dear, you need to return my CD's. T_T I have big gaping holes in my collection... bleck. And never buy CD's from Comp USA, because according to Stacy it just FLAKED OFF by itself, piece of crap. I don't want to think about how much I have burned on Comp USA CD's, either. Just because I wanted to save five bucks.. -_-
I'm kinda tired, but I'm reading a new manga right now, called "Tokyo Crazy Paradise"... it's really weird. This pair of parents had four kids, three boys and one girl.. they raised the girl AS A GUY because they wanted her to be stronger and not so feminine (uh-huh, yeah :P) so she wouldn't get hurt in life. They end up being killed by some yakuza (read: mobsters :P think "godfather"), and wanting to find out the killer, she goes and stalks this other yakuza teenage heir whose parents were killed by the same person. ^.^ She ends up as his bodyguard. Kinda weird, kinda cute.. you can get zips here: http://www.manga-sketchbook.org. The translators referred to its genre as: "karekano/hanakimi/city hunter mix". If you're familiar with all three of those manga, that's a pretty damn scary combination. The karekano/hanakimi is understandable, but throwing in CITY HUNTER? @_@ Bizarre. On that note, I must have twenty different scanlation sites now.. scanlating seems to be really popular. Certainly cheaper to host than anime.
Purinsessu Tutu [read: Princess Tutu] is super cute. Fakia has really nice eyes ^.^ I was oohing over them when he blinked at Ahiru sitting in his locker. Pretty damn cute.
And I bet he's a guy. [bitter]

Ouchies. That was the sound of me sitting down.
Went and saw "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" yesterday @ 8:30... it's almost three hours long, so I didn't get home until pretty late. My dad had to pick me up T_T I don't think he was too happy about it. When I did get home, I was going to re-read the book (to clear my mind from the movie..), but unfortunately, I had a Key Club project early this morning - at 5:30. FIVE THIRTY. Bleck.
The project was volunteering at the Backlot run down at Universal Studios backlot... it was pretty neat. ^.^ Not that the work was neat... I registered late-arrivals (there were some people who were signing up after the marathon had started T_T), emptied the trash, and that sorta lovely thing... we got free shirts out of it, though. ^.^ Later, we all went to Jamba Juice XD I got a Peach Pleasure.. mmm. No boost, so it was very nice and sweet. We all made fun of each other.. it's great fun to hang out with the senior guys ^.^ they're all weird. One of them - I think it was Chris? - pulled out senior pictures of the four guys there and told the girls to rate them. XD We rated Jerry dead last because of his hair... when Jerry found out, he kept asking questions like, "Okay, out of all of us here, who's the ugliest?" and "On a scale of 1-10, what do the girls rate?" The other guys said he was trying to repair his ego ^.^; I might've felt slightly guilty, but Jerry rated me a negative -5, so nope. He and I were making fun of each other all day.. he had really bad come-backs, though. According to Jessica, he usually comes up with better ones than "shut-up!!!!!!", but that didn't happen today ^.^ Not exactly what you'd call mature humor, but it was fun.
Finished reading some really kick-ass Harry Potter fanfiction. I mean, this is amazing - I have to add this person to my favorites list on fanfiction.net. Here's a link to her stuff:
Arabella @ Sugarquill.net
I've read some of her stuff before and enjoyed it, but it's been over a year since then, and she's really improved. I'm reading her Ginny epic from year 2 right now... X_X It's basically the diary entries that she writes to dear old Tom Riddle... it subtly and steadily gets darker, with Tom manipulating Ginny through her own emotions. Example... anyone remember that quick line in CoS where it says that Ginny had forgotten her diary? and they turned the car back? It has a scene where Ginny mentions that to Tom, and he plays up guilt on poor Ginny, saying that perhaps he has not been a worthy companion to her, so of course she would leave him.... it ends with Ginny swearing to him that she'll never ever again leave him away from her. Gave me the creeps. It has this perfect essence of Harry Potter in it, and I didn't even like Ginny much before. Equally good, if not better, is the fic that has Dumbledore talking to Ginny right after the incident... X_X Really sad, and really good ^.^ [She's also a Ron-Hermione writer... XD] She writes a lot of stuff.. is also somewhat famous for that dark Draco-angst fic, "The More is My Unrest", in which Draco watches Ginny Weasley and wonders. @_@ I don't write HP fiction, but I know when I'm reading an author who knows the feeling of the books, and she does ^.^
About the Harry Potter movie. Let me sum my opinion up in one sentence: "So the director took out nearly all the funny scenes from the book so he could have an extended five-minute scene of a Ford Anglia running over spiders?"
Etc, etc. Too much action, not enough of the essence that makes up the book. I didn't like "Chamber of Secrets" as much as the other three, but it was a good book, and this was frankly a bad movie and a bad representation of the book. As a movie, it confuses the heck out of anyone who hasn't read the book, and as a book-->movie transition, it doesn't hold those quirks that the book has. It does, however, have some new movie things that I thought were cute ^.^

My sister's and my schedule must be coordinated... I am soooo tired. ::blinks sleepily at computer monitor:: I don't even know why I'm so tired... I didn't have that much homework last night, and I had Monday off, so I haven't gone to school more than two days.
On a high note, my group got a 100 on our history project of Greece... and the sensei gave me an extra 20 points. ^.^ For doing more work, I suppose, which is what he said. Happy, happy, happy. Then again, practically half the class got 100's and a third extra points >.> but my group did a good job, so yes, happy.
I hate candy fundraisers. I hate them. I have twenty five flipping bars to sell. Granted, it's not bad candy, but too much sugar gives me a headache (so no selling to oneself) and ALL Key Club members at our school have to sell it... and there are almost 400 Key Clubbers at my school. In other words, a fifth of the school is selling candy T_T Even rounded up nicely, that's 10,000 bars. There are just not that many PEOPLE AT MY SCHOOL. Which means that I end up paying for my own candy -_-
Oh, well. Stalking the junior high schools around here usually works... not elementary. The parents give us corrupted high school students dirty looks if we approach their children with cardboard boxes full of candy. [the rest]

Well, sort of. After all, the point of Fall Rally [a time when the Key Club district of California-Nevada-Hawaii comes together] is to go to one of the two Fall Rally sessions... and I didn't get in. Why? Because they wouldn't let me in because the arena was already filled to 'maximum capacity'. My friends were very.. verbally abusive in what they thought. I'm surprised they didn't get their rears kicked T_T;
At any rate, Fall Rally took place at Six Flags, Magic Mountain. The ads say that it's in Los Angeles, but it's actually in Valencia... bah, whatever. It was fun, though ^.^ I went on X (very very neat) right in the beginning of the day, so we only waited ten minutes [for the rest of the day it was a 4 hour wait...], although we [myself and perhaps a dozen of my friends] really didn't get to hit that many roller coasters....
Because it was raining. A lot. I didn't go on a single water ride (my friends wimped out :P) and I still had to wring out my socks - and there was a lot of water, too T_T Jessica has my jacket... Jess, you stink :P
I need to make buttons for a ML, iyfanguild, which I'm looking forward to, but here I am, tired, wet, and just plain sleepy. So no buttons tonight. And let's not even get into the state of my fanfics. Bleh. Good night, minna... at least I have a three day weekend to rest and do idiotic English homework.

I was at Bakersfield today (get the title now? Baker-? never mind) for a classical music concert and lecture for Academic Decathalon... the music really was very nice, but the lecture was bo-ring... and I almost fell asleep. But did I fall asleep during the lecture? No, I did not - I had to black out during the music. >.> I pretty much was in a daze for Symphony No. 1, 4th movement [Brahms], the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, and the Slavonic Dance in G Opus 46, No. 8 by Dvorak. That really shows how tired I was... anyone who can fall asleep through the 1812 Overture is pretty much dead. Although my eyes did pop open at every boom. Luckily, no one but Yumi [sitting next to me] could tell that I was about to snooze... I was wearing reflective sunglasses (yes, indoors), and they only saw their own reflections ^_^ I wore all black ... we kept telling people all day that we had just gone to a funeral. Yep, very mature, but fun.
Does my blog have a screwy little scroll bar at the bottom? Eep. Tell me.. I'll have to fix it.
My friends just popped up as Harry Potter fanfic writers ^.^ looks like they've been writing since July, actually... wow, I'm really out of it. Lily-James stuff... XD [the rest]

Kill me. NOW.
Eh-hem.
I feel like watching that weird movie where this virus goes out and starts killing anyone.. it's like called "Epidemic" or "Breakout" or something like that. I remember this one scene specifically... the trucks are collecting the people with the symptoms of the virus (they hang white towels on their doors), and this lady bids a tearful farewell to her crying family as she leaves, and then the next scene you see is a woman [dead] being zipped up in a bag and the bag being thrown on a fire. T_T I always wondered if that was the same lady, but I didn't really get a close look since she was being zipped up in the dark.
Lorik just gave me this flipping GORGEOUS picture and I saw it and Lorik, if you're reading this, I'm too freaking unworthy T_T; did you get your hands on the manga somehow? 'tis a Basara fanart, for those who do not know... picture is just sooooo ... wow. ^.^ so lonely and very very wow XD I scanned and put it up here in the bloggy, I hope you don't mind... I just couldn't help it, I wanted to share the glory somehow. [and brag that I have friends that draw THAT GOOD. ::cackles:: Lorik, if you want me to take it down I will, though ^.^ Cropped out her shirt, though, and I wept... but I wanted to keep in the detail of that gorgeous hair and face, and the picture was large enough already T_T [153k, hmm]. Really large because you just don't get the same impact when it's small, and this pic packs pow. XD I draw stick figures for a living, and they're not cute, and so I admire and adore gorgeous pictures... hence my subject title. That would be the sound that erupted from my throat when I laid eyes on this beautiful thing.. ::kisses it:: Thank you soo soo much, am very very happy ^.^
by Lorik, for unworthy me~
Oh, and Lorik, I'm gonna KILL your board thingamajigger because it kept telling me my comments were too long -_- I guess I'll just pester you at school, then. XD
I cut my entry in half, so if you'd like to read the whole thing, then click on the linky :P [the rest]
