Jesus. Who saw Shigeru Miyamoto with the Link sword and shield at E3?
This guy used to be cool.
Fils-Aime closed the show with the first unveiling of the next Legend of Zelda, a trailer followed by creative head Shigeru Miyamoto's appearance, Link-style sword and shield in hand. "Even after 18 years, the legend of Zelda never stops changing," Miyamoto said to an ebullient audience. "We are now taking you to a world where Link has grown up, a world where he will act different and look different. In order to grow, Link must not stand still, and neither can I."
He then proceeded to prance around like a... Well, you know.

The new Zelda looks über, but I'm goin to be pissed off if it's a bluff like with the screen shot of Link and Gannondorf.

There was this one time, when I played this game, and....and...and...
*Cries*
I don't even know what Zelda is...

Sarah, I think it's time we had the talk.

And don't forget me and my eight brothers and four aunties. They all must have showers. Day and night, that's all they do. Shower, shower, shower, shower. If one's not in the shower, the other is. I can't get any time to myself.
Damn it.

OMG, like, I love a draft! Even better, it starts the year I graduate! Whoo hoo! And even better yet, the age span of 18-26 includes not just me, but both my sisters too! Whahahaha, doesn't that sound like fun!
Posted by Janice @ 05/23/2004 04:33 PM PST
Draft?
Posted by Sarah @ 05/23/2004 06:00 PM PST
I think you have been listening to the hysterical side of the liberal media again.
"Notwithstanding recent stories in the news media and on the Internet, Selective Service is not getting ready to conduct a draft for the U.S. Armed Forces."
- www.sss.gov (The Selective Services System)
Get it from the horses' mouth, FIRST.
Posted by Sarah @ 05/23/2004 06:04 PM PST
I hope with everything I have that the SSS is correct, but this current government has little to no credibility as far as I'm concerned.
Thank you for the information, though. It's reassuring, if I ignore reasonable doubt.

Your are very welcome. Aren't you glad you have the calm words of a conservative with democratic principles? :) You heard me.
Posted by Sarah @ 05/23/2004 08:09 PM PST
Ah, I love hysteria. It's so much fun. Did you guys see the three thousand newspaper articles on Bush falling off while bikeriding? Yep, I love journalism.
Honestly, I doubt that a draft for females will get passed. Males? Eh, hm, haw.

So I'm watching Captain Planet, and tonights episode features a gullible president being duped into accepting a new power source by one of the standard villains of the show (Paula Pollution, or Sarah Smokestack or some damn thing, I don't really remember). I'd think it was political commentary that the guy looks AND sounds exactly like George W., if it wasn't for the fact that the show was made at least twelve years ago. That, however, was not my favorite part. My favorite part would be after the Planeteers try to reason with our good friend the President Who Remains Nameless Throughout The Episode and get ignored, Mati (the Heart kid) says this-
"I know one thing ALL presidents have to listen to! Wasps!" Then he uses his Heart power to call a bunch of bees out of a nearby nest and attack the president.
Call me crazy, but in all my years of watching this show off and on, I always thought the Heart kid was the love and peace member of the group, the guy who'd keep Wheeler from burning the Russian chick alive when she refused to sleep with him. Kind of the token gay best friend. It never once occurred to me that his actual function was to command animals to assassinate various heads of state.
That's pretty badass, really.

That kinda kicks ass.
