03/07/2003 Entry: "The Week."

This was a very long week.

As you might have noticed, I did not post all week long.

In fact, I have not posted since Thursday of last week.

Because I have been really, really overworked.

"Why?" you ask. "Why have you been overworked?"

If you're like the girl from my history class, who noticed my over-worked state and then commented, "Hahaha, you should learn to manage your time" with a little smug smirk, you probably don't want to read this.

Not that I want comforting or "oh you poor baby", either. -.- I just feel like ranting. Or blogging! ^.^ So if you're willing to suffer through my madness, read the rest by clicking on the linkie ^^

Monday was when hell started. I knew very well that the High School Exit Exam would be tested during periods 1-3 on Tuesday-Thursday. Therefore, I would miss periods 1-3. Not hard.

I was not comforted, however, by the idea of my looming project in Spanish (due this coming Tuesday) or my HUGE history project on Catherine the Great due Friday, today. So when my brilliant Spanish teacher said she'd be ever sooooooo nice by giving us some nice easy project (a traveling brochure in Spanish) that we'd deeeefinitely be able to do during class alllll week long, I was NOT HAPPY. I have Spanish first period. When am I going to work on the damn brochure, which, btw, cannot be done on the computer and must be hand-drawn even by people with no drawing skills? Oh, I guess when I COME HOME DERANGED AND MAD AFTER A GRUELING SWIM PRACTICE AT SEVEN O'CLOCK AT NIGHT. Oh, and I still have the OHTER PRESENTATION DUE IN A WEEK. (Now it's only a few days. Dear me.)

Then there was the history project, which I'm doing with a partner. Does having a partner alleivate some of the work? Yeah, it does, actually. Does it also make life hell when one is trying to meet one's partner so they can actually distribute and then do the work? Yeah, it does, too.

Throw in swim practice and two swim meets (today and Monday) and it was pretty bad. Basically, with myself trying to finish all my homework (my math class, third period, has almost no tenth-graders in it - in other words, it was unaffected by HSEE) for all my other classes, it was really bad. I got very disturbed sleep all week long, and right now I feel like I have a fever and my throat hurts and I felt rather fatigued all day long.

I'm glad it's the weekend. So glad. I didn't get to do any work on Hime-chan or fanfics or my website or anything. And I'm going to have to start prepping for Key Club Exec. Board interview (I'm thinking maybe I'll make a prospective layout?) since the new officers were chosen. And I have Key Club Convention this coming weekend. So I need to pack. And borrow closed-toe heels from SOMEONE (for Convention dress code) since I don't have any myself, but who? Most of my friends wear size 7 or smaller, and even though I'm not tall, I wear freaking 9 1/2 or 10. Then aside from the shoes, it annoyed me slightly when I found out that we leave for Convention (Ontario, Cali.) on the day of the Little Rock swim meet, which is itself the most fun of all the meets since it's so far away (we end up eating out on the way back home). It didn't help, either, that Amy said, "What, you're missing swim for KEY CLUB?" Well, f*** that, Amy. I like Key Club a hell of a lot better than swim. <> I know Key Club sometimes has a rather odd look to it in the school, but it's an organization that I really admire and like participating in. And SHE'D miss one damn PRE-LEAGUE swim meet for a NCL thing, so what the hell was she thinking of, anyway? (It's been annoying me all week.)

Oh. And the stupid Spanish project to do. (I have to give a 3 minute presentation on a trip that I took. Imaginary or real. Can it be a land where one must blow up schools all day? Sans the students, of course.)

But really, although I sound very angry and bitter and tired right now, I am very, very glad that it's the weekend. I could really use the sleep and rest that I will get - I need it very much. The following week should actually be rather easy because so many students in my classes are going to Florida (for the national choir competition) - in fact, so many that my history and english teachers can't teach class, so they're going to skip lessons most of next week ^^ should be a good week.

Even if I got a C in math. -- Chapter five was SO HARD. Like Earl said.. it should've been switched with chapter six >.< that way everyone's grades wouldn't suck so much since chapter 6 is actually reasonable math. (I'm not the only one who did horrible on the tests.. I have yet to meet someone in pre-calculus who got an A this grading period, excluding Mr. Justincase & Dorkavorkian because .. just because. >.>)

Anyway. I feel a little guilty because I once discussed with my sister the content of blogs, and the conclusion was that they really shouldn't be ranting and raving devices for people on the web. (There was some very logical reason why, but I forgot it.) At any rate, this probably qualifies as some sort of raving, if not a full-blown rant, but I'm soo tired, I just wanted to blog about it, and it cheers me up some. :) I try not to do it often!

Shinjo Mayu stinks. >.< ::reading Kaikan Phrase:: THIS IS SOOOOOOO STUPID.

Oh! Memo to me: burn CD's for Sarah. ^^

Spoken words: 2 have fallen.

Poor dear . . . I had a rotten week too. Well, not a week, a day. Not a day, mostly a few seconds. I got hit by car. When he stopped, I had a death-grip on his hood and my body was so tensed up I didn't realise how sore the experience had made me until I got home. He was very nice. Gave me his phone number on a piece of paper. I think I'll sue him for everything he's got. Or just lose the paper and forget about it.

That and the second-to-last show of the Colony Theatre 02/03 season is ending, so I'll be out of a job soon.

I lead such a TRAGIC life!

Poor Jan-Chan. But what would you do WITHOUT stress? Probably be very relaxed and very bored. No worries, it'll all be over in 15 weeks...ecchhh...
