       A young woman with a short brown haircut and wearing a business uniform is standing in the lobby of a large building, smiling to herself. Looking in a window, she starts fixing her hair. Another woman calls out, "Linna, let's go!" As it turns out, we were looking at her reflection - Linna walks away, smiling. The city outside is very big, full of tall, glass buildings. Linna exclaims to herself that this is Tokyo... { Screen Shot } The woman's voice calls her again impatiently, and Linna goes off.

       The other woman's voice explains to Linna various things about her job, mainly about how she shouldn't be late and other general things. { Screen Shot } Linna, half-listening and half-not, says that she's really amazed by the city. She's seen it on TV, but even so, it's only been six years since the earthquake, but it seems to have recovered perfectly! Linna spins around, looking up at the high buildings, when she accidentally bumps into a large robot that's cleaning the streets. She apologizes, but it turns around and says that it's the one that's wrong. { Screen Shot } Her friend comes back, and scolds her that she doesn't have to apologize to the boomers, even if she is a new employee! Linna says that the boomers helped the most with the reconstruction, didn't they? Her friend exclaims suddenly that it's time to buy lunch. Linna wonders how she knows? [Neither of them appear to be wearing watches.] Her friend points at all the buildings, and says it's the shadows. (She means that the shadows from the buildings are like a very large sundial.)

       Up in space, a woman's voice is talking about how a Showhamm project, under the Genom Corporation, is something to end all problems with energy for the entire world. Watching the spaceships is a very old man, connected to machines, watching hundreds of monitors. He watches, and you can hear his pulse as we overlook the project building. { Screen Shot }

       In the cafeteria, Linna and her friend are standing in line. A music video plays in the background, while Linna bugs her friend about ever having seen the "Knight Sabers." Her friend exclaims that those 'champions of justice' are just a rumor; if they were real, they'd be in the news. Linna wonders, since she saw them on the net all the time back at home. A boomer (who looks just like a human) sells them their lunch. As Linna thanks the boomer, her friend snatches the lunch from the boomer and stalks off. Her friend rants about boomers, exclaiming that they're incredibly annoying. As they walk, a motorcycle races by, brushing Linna just enough to knock her off her feet and drop her lunch, since she can't balance in her heels. Furious, Linna stands up, yelling at the person to do something about her lunch. The person looks coolly at Linna through her visor, while Linna exclaims that she should pay for her lunch. { Screen Shot } As they gaze at each other, the rider points to her head. Linna wipes her head, and a little blood comes off. She rides off while Linna's friend comes back, telling her she shouldn't get involved. Linna then runs off after the motorcyclist.

       As she dashes after her through the parking structure, Linna can't really run because of her heels. Furious, she reaches to a pole outside the parking building and slides several stories down, landing flat in front of the motorcycle's path. { Screen Shot } As it rolls to a stop, the rider just turns around the other way, dodging the shoe that Linna throws at her. She gazes at Linna as she rides away, who is crying very loudly.

       A woman is reprimanding Linna, saying that she's lost a shoe and has messed-up makeup. Linna mutters that she thinks that she is starting to dislike boomers. The woman replies that she is a boomer, but it is her duty to train new employees. { Screen Shot } She continues to say that those such comments will affect her assessment, so she should refrain from them. Linna, annoyed, answers, "Yes, yes!" The boomer replies that one is enough, to which Linna replies with "yes" three more times.

       Linna is mopping the floors somewhere else, complaining to herself that she doesn't want to be ordered around by a boomer, of all things. A man appears, asking her if she's the brand-new, brave employee in the second division. She affirms it, saying that she's Yamazaki Linna. He asks her if she's new to Tokyo, which she also confirms. He asks her if she'd like a tour of the city. Linna asks where, and he says around the interesting places in Megalocity.

       In the night sky, a helicopter of sorts is flying around. The pilot identifies himself as Bravo Tango, and that everything is normal, and is directed by a young woman's voice to return. Inside, the girl, a young one with a short blonde haircut, throws down her headphones. Stretching in her seat in front of her computer, she exclaims that there's nothing to do again today. Another girl walks by, and says that there haven't been many mad boomer incidents lately. The blonde replies that they'd be in trouble if there were too many, but there haven't been any, so it's boring enough that she's thinking of looking for another job. The other girl says, "What type of job do you want, Nene?" Nene replies that she wants something where she can be more physically active. { Screen Shot } Her friend asks, "Like what?" Nene jumps up with a fist in the air, exclaiming, "Knight Sabers! ... or, something like that." Her friend asks her if she's an idiot.

       The computer beeps, and a message comes in. A male voice comes from the computer, the same one who Nene let in earlier. He asks if Totem Pole can hear him. Nene, shoving her headphones on, replies that this is the AD Police Intelligence Agency, Management Center. She continues, saying, "Next time you come in with such a weird nickname, I won't answer, Leon-chan!"

       Another guy is laughing at the name as he drives in a car. The man in question says that he hasn't sunk so low that eighteen-year old girls can give him nicknames. Talking to the computer, he says that there are no mad boomers in the 'Sodo Ward' today. Nene replies, "Roger. It's quitting time, so I'm going hooooooome." Leon sighs, saying that she acts like a part-timer. He continues to his partner, saying that they're supposed to be a SWAT team, but instead they just clean up boomer messes. His partner says that there are even people who take that away though, aren't there? Angry, Leon curses at the Knight Sabers, and speeds the car down the road.

       Down that same road, Linna and the guy who asked her out are walking down the street. He tells her that despite the earthquake six years ago, this part of the city sunk far away from the attention of the city planners. Despite that, this was the first part of the city to recover - Sodo Word. { Screen Shot } He continues, explaining that here, all the desires of adults can be fulfilled, as long as you pay enough for it. Linna says it's scary. (The street is full of neon signs, homeless people, et cetera.) Linna says, "Um, boss?" He replies that since they're not in the office, she can call him Kain. Linna asks him if he's ever heard of those champions that appear whenever a boomer goes insane? He replies that they do a lot of damage to their company image, since they're associated with boomers. Kain continues, saying that boomers just don't go insane, and that even if they do, there's the AD police. They're a dangerous vigilante group - is she one of their stupid fans? Linna begins to say that she's - something, but comes across a poster on one of the walls. The poster is a close-up of a woman's face, reading "Featuring Priss!" { Screen Shot } As Linna gazes at it, her mind flashes back to the woman on the motorcycle, and realizes it's the same pair of eyes. Kain puts a hand on her shoulder, and says that they should stop talking about work, and have fun. { Screen Shot } As she looks surprisedly at his hand, he leads her off.

       Boomers are working at some sort of sorting place, and one of the boomer's eyes is looking very red, and they're glowing. { Screen Shot } Inside his 'body', you can hear the 'pulse'. { Screen Shot } The battery is becoming infected, enlarging and looking suspiciously organic. { Screen Shot } The boomer twitches.

       [ Eyecatch : Funky rock music plays. { Screen Shot } ]

       Fish are swimming by in an aquarium. A young woman with silver hair is there. It appears to be a clothing store, with the fish as a background. As she looks at clothes, an old man's voice says, "Sylia-sama, please come to the pit. We've confirmed a reaction." She looks up, her face covered in shadows.

       There is a complete wreck of a building. (I have no clue what it is - it might be the mine where the boomer was working.) At the resturant, Linna is looking out the window, then looking at her wrist, but realizing that there's no watch. Next to her, Kain says the she has an injury on her face. She says that she just fell, and he says softly that she needs to keep good care of her face. Nervously, she asks if he has the time? She can't really tell because she can't see the shadow of the sky hook at night. Scowling, he replies that she lives alone, right? Isn't it rude of her to worry about what time she has to go home? Linna apologizes, then scowls herself, and mutters about her having to apologize to him.

       Outside at a bench overlooking the ocean, Priss is leaning against it on the ground. Her motorcycle is parked nearby as she sings a bit to herself. A beeping sound comes from her jacket, and she pulls out a cell-phone. { Screen Shot } She stands up after reading its message.

       Elsewhere, Nene, dressed in just a long shirt and a towel wrapping her hair up on her head, runs down the street in sandals, exclaiming that this is just the worst timing. { Screen Shot } As she reaches the corner, she jogs in place, looking for something. When a purple van drives by, she exclaims that it's here! She gets in. { Screen Shot }

       At the resturant, Kain starts to caress Linna's legs, who stands up angrily, exclaiming that she's going home. Kain asks her what's wrong, since the night is long, and... Linna replies, "And what?" He tells her that he's in charge of the new employees' assessment, and that her position will be affected by what he tells the boss...Linna smirks, saying that he's the supervisor that feels up the new employees? He scowls back at her, when suddenly the boomer from earlier, slightly more deformed (with fangs), blasts through the door. Everyone starts screaming, as the boomer begins to trash the place. Everyone runs for the exit, and when Linna looks for her boss, she sees that he's already run for it, pushing and shoving other people out of his way. Linna scowls, calling him a jerk. { Screen Shot }

       Priss, on her bike, is breaking 180 km/hr as she drives down the road. { Screen Shot } In his car, Leon and his partner get a call about the mad boomer, saying that the local police have requested help. { Screen Shot } Leon's partner sighs, saying that they have to go back there aga-! Leon swerves the car around at an insane pace, yelling that he doesn't want them to get ahead of them again!

       At the resturant, the boomer is going insane, wrecking everything in site. { Screen Shot } Linna is knocked to the ground by another person, and sees an exit across the room. Limping across as she runs, the boomer catches site of her and chases her. She yells out loud, "Why do you have to be chasing me?!" The boomer says, "Hey, let's clean! Let's clean and play!"

       Outside, the van drives up, while Nene whines that she and Priss have to hurr-y! Priss tells her not to be a bother. Sylia commands that they have check each other's gauges all the time - do they understand? They reply that they understand. She says softly they they must completely destroy it. { Screen Shot } Two flashes of light, accompanied by shooting sounds, go by.

       Linna is running up a fire escape, wondering out loud why it's chasing her. As she makes her way up the fire escape, the boomer is shaking it, and it crashes down. Screaming, Linna is hanging in mid-air, as the boomer approaches her. It's suddenly punched by something very fast and blue - a robot with the body of a woman. { Screen Shot } { Screen Shot } As the boomer screams, the blue Knight Saber points down, where there's another pink Knight Saber waiting and waving. Linna exclaims that she expects her to jump? The Knight Saber goes off again, fighting the boomer. As Linna watches, the Knight comes back again, pointing at her head. Linna gasps, as the Knight goes off again to punch the boomer. Linna falls off, and gets caught by the pink Knight Saber (with Nene's voice). { Screen Shot } The boomer's head falls to the ground, just as the police cars come. Leon's partner says that they're late again, and Leon curses. Two streaks of light jump away.

       The next morning, a woman's voice is talking about the beautiful, peaceful city, and asks the citizens to be thankful they live in such a wonderful place. She adds that this program is presented by Genom Corporation, the leaders in boomer technology. Kain, talking to his computer screen, says that is the end of his report. As it switches off, he sees Linna reflected in the screen. Turning around, he says nervously that it was rough last night, wasn't it? He looked for her, but he couldn't find her. Smiling, Linna thanks him. He stands up, and Linna shyly looks down, saying that she'd like to thank him. Happy, he asks her if tonight is ok? Coming toward him, she makes patterns on his suit with her finger, then traces up to his face. She says that no, she wants to do it right - now. { Screen Shot } He smiles nervously. Linna, smiling, she exclaims, "This is my thanks!" and haults back and punches him. His scream echoes through the building.

       Priss is singing on a tape, and then stops. A member of her band asks her to have a drink with them, but she says next time. He whines that she says that every night, but it was a good practice anyway. As she's about to get on the motorcycle, she sees someone in the shadows, and asks who it is. { Screen Shot } Linna, stepping out, asks her what she's going to do about her scar. Priss replies that it will heal soon. Linna says that Priss is a Knight Saber, isn't she? As Priss starts her motorcycle, Linna exclaims that she wants to be one too! Priss rides off, but looks back to see Linna standing there defiantly. { Screen Shot }
